AMERICA ONLINE BROWSER INFORMATION

AOL caches or stores web pages on their own servers to speed up internet access for their millions of customers. But when you, the AOL user, click on a web page, you are unaware that you are actually seeing a stored page on the AOL server and not a "live" web page.

When you try to click to a secure link on that stored page (such as our online membership directory or our join pages) you hit a wall, because these pages cannot be cached or stored.

To solve this problem: Try using a non-AOL browser, like Internet Explorer or Netscape where you can easily clear the cache or try the following steps below.

  Clearing Cache For AOL

HINT: TO ENSURE THAT YOUR BROWSER PERFORMS EFFECIENTLY, REPEAT STEP 2 ON A REGULAR BASIS. MY RECCOMENDATION IS AFTER EACH TIME YOU BROWSE THE INTERNET. STEPS 1 & 3 DO NOT NEED TO BE REPEATED AFTER THE FIRST TIME COMPLETED.
